Southwest Florida’s Naples -- marketed along with Marco Island and the Everglades as the "Paradise Coast" -- boasts more than 70 golf courses to accompany a host of attractions from adventures into the Everglades to biking and beachcombing, antique hunting, upscale shopping and spa indulgence. Downtown Naples Pier, with free 24-hour admission, allows for fishing without a license. The fashionable Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South attract shoppers, as does Waterside Shops at Pelican Bay, where an extreme makeover has attracted Tiffany & Co., Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Nordstrom and assorted dining options to bolster the area’s already extensive culinary-lineup. Naples is the seat for Collier County, the state’s largest, with more than 80 percent of its acreage set aside as park and nature preserve by federal, state, county and city agencies.
